My Approach

Kahu Manga, is about translating japanes manga into Urdu, our national Language. The process begins with the user uploading a manga page. The system then detects the text using a trained model, extracts it via OCR, and translates it into Urdu using Google Translate. Finally, the original text is removed from the image, and the translated Urdu text is overlaid in the exact same position, maintaining the integrity of the visual storytelling.

The goal is to bridge the cultural gap and connect younger generations with manga through a familiar and relatable medium, all while preserving the original artistic layout.

Identifying Unique Challenges

One of the key challenges I encountered was the limited accessibility and inconsistent accuracy of free resources, which made the development process more complex and time-consuming..

Resolving Complex Problems

To address these challenges, I experimented with multiple free tools, fine-tuning their usage, and combining them effectively to achieve better accuracy without relying on any paid resources.

User-Centric Design

The design is very simple and to the point serving its purpose without any distractions.
